Political Movements

Whether regional or national, partly or entirely illegal, these are the movements that bubble under Italia's surface. Underneath the veneer of shallow democracy, and below the soft authoritarianism that rules the nation, these movements are simultaneously weakened by and radicalized by their legal opposition. These are their stories.

Currently the stability of the Two Italy's is fair. However of the last twenty years, the NEWFA regime has worn out its novelty, and has not seen many of the political victories that it had promised to the people. Continuing without these 'victories' for longer is risky, and losing a significant diplomatic or political spat would be even worse. But the sweet taste of victory would propel the regime to renewed heights of support and popularity.

Name in English: Italian Redemption 
Shorthand(s): Redeemers
Type: Common belief with underground organization. While the organization aligns with fascistic ideals, the immediacy and extreme militarism of the organization opposes the more moderate government policies.
Ideology: The immediate annexation/sphering of most Adriatic territories and all ethnic Italian territories to make up for centuries of incomplete union of all Italian lands.
Size: Tens of Millions in belief, Tens of Thousands of members in organization.

Name: North Redeemers
Ideology: Focuses on gaining influence in North Italian regions including Istria

Name: South Redeemers
Ideology: Focuses on gaining influence in Dalmatia and West Bosnia. Greatest extent wanted would be the North Adra/Yugoslav Adriatic coast.


Name in English: Female Forza ('Strength')
Shorthand(s): Forzas
Type: Illegal Belief and Coalition

Ideology: Increased Socio-Political Gender Equality. Large numbers seek either total equality or de-facto female superiority over males.
Size: Hundreds of Thousands in belief, Thousands of members in organization.



Name: ANTI-NEWFA (Anti-New Age Fascism)
Shorthand(s): ANTIN
Type: Illegal Coalition
Ideology: Big tent leftism originally led by soc dems. Engages in anti-fascism terrorism. 
Economic Stance: Left-leaning Capitalism

Military Stance: Medium military funding

Societal Stance: Equality, Welfare, Secular

Size: Tens of Thousands, Few Hundred Past/Present Terrorists

Name: PDSI
Ideology: The original social democrat leadership of ANTIN mostly broke off from the very organization they helped create after the violent 'destabilization' that some of ANTIN engaged in was giving the left a bad rap in Italy.


Name in English: Rift Rights
Shorthand(s): R and R
Type: Belief with underground organization. 
Ideology: Advocates equal rights for near and far humans, and compensation for past injustices.
Size: Several thousand far humans spread across several cities, mostly in overseas territories.

Name in English: Italian Anarchist Federation (FAI)
Shorthand(s): Anarchists
Type: Longtime federation of Italian anarchists, based on past foreign partially successful attempts at establishing anarchist regions.
Ideology: The view that Italy, and before its unification the Italian nations, have been flawed and oppressing their populace for hundreds of years, and that the abolition of the state is the only solution. In its wake would be self managed anarcho-communes protected by the 'black army' and 'black navy'.
Size: Tens of thousands dispersed through the Italian Isles, half of the members are underground in Rome.

FAI Subgroups:

Name: Black Army / Esercito Nero (EN)
Ideology: Maintaining and spreading anarchist ideals in the army,  air force, and military factories in order to safeguard the inevitable revolution from internal and external enemies.

Name: Black Navy / Marina Nera (MN)
Ideology: Maintaining and spreading anarchist ideals in the navy, air force, and military factories in order to safeguard the inevitable revolution from internal and external enemies.
