The Red Army has been founded in Russia in 1981 during the Civil War that ensued after the collapse of the Russian Empire. The Red Army has been the Armed Force of the Soviet Union up until 2083, when the Union collapsed and entered a new Civil War. The Ukrainian Government came out on top during the Civil War, with the Red Army swearing allegiance to them. Today they continue to stand guard for the Motherland, as they did for over 100 years.

Combat Uniform 

RATNIK Combat Suit




RATNIK - meaning member of the Rat', and Ancient Rus battle formation, clad in armor. This combat suit consists of an exoskeleton and composite armor capable of stopping pistol rounds and even some small rifle calibers. The helmet includes a HUD that displays important information to the soldier, such as a compass, position of his team mates that's received from the encrypted radio transmitter each soldier is equipped with, and even provides details about the surroundings based on a regularly updated database and available satellite images and maps. The elite few who use the latest generation of rifles also have the luxury  having an ammo counter and a sight built into the helmet, allowing for precise fire even when firing from the hip. The suit is also equipped with health monitoring devices, that both let the soldier know his state, as well as transmit that data to the command center. After the most important systems have been developed, the latest version added a climate control system to keep the soldier comfortable in extreme climates. All the equipment on the suit, including the exoskeleton, is integrated into a single circuit powered by a battery, the full charge of which can operate the suit at full capacity for about 24 hours before needing to recharge.
