Established in 1865 to protect the Southern region, the Dixie Army has for centuries protected and enforced the will of the Republic.
Infantry
The backbone of the armed forces, Southern infantry are well equipped and trained to combat in various situations. Infantry are equipped with DR combat suits that protect them from small arms fire. Their helmets can relay information via 5G receptors and display battlefield information, target assistance, communication, and some chemical protections.
Rampart assault rifle
Designed and assembled in Red Stone Arsenal, the Rampart has been the DR military's standard firearm for little over 30 years. It fires a 7.62mm round fed by a 25 round magazine, it packs a lot of damage and accuracy at the cost of range in comparison to other standardized assault rifles.
Hudson 9mm
Standard issue sidearm of all military branches and the Dixie State Police, Hudson handguns are assembled by Red Stone Arsenal and sold to both state and private sector clients. Its reliability makes it a favorite of civilian gun owners who use it for personal protection.
M249 SAW
Despite the age of the SAW light machine gun, it still has its place in the DR military being used to lay down heavy fire on enemy positions.
RMX 7.62
An experimental sniper rifle created by Red Stone Arsenal for recon and sharpshooters in the army, the RMX has an advanced smart scope that assists in locating targets for the operator. It's made of lightweight composite material that makes it one of if not the lightest rifle of its class in the world.
