Sergej Andrić left the room quickly; he gave Jakov a list of all the judges removed suspected to be tools of Relja Dušan and an untitled document. In return, Sergej received more lists for other SR Republics to fire judges and incriminating evidence on Relja Dušan. Jakov closed the metal door after Sergej left, with large thuds of the locks clicking. Behind the door were laptops and screens, glistening equipment, and soldiers loyal to Jakov's revolution in the room. Jakov was in his Commander's uniform. He walked down the room, observing the technicians and agents' work. Božidar Stefanović talked to a pilot in a helicopter fly-suit, discussing how to evacuate if the worse happened. While Miodrag Dedic stood in only a suit, he smoked a cigarette talking to the military officer who occupied the room. Jakov walked thoroughly down the hall and took a right. It had a prominent news station set-up and padded walls. In the very back was a green screen. Jakov walked to the table and held the folder in his hand. He set it down and glanced at the judge document. He then pulled out the untitled document, and it was a speech. Jakov glanced at the words and nodded, smiling. He gave a thumbs up to a man operating and lyrics screen. The document was exchanged and placed in the machine, which zoomed in and showcased the speech.
An intercom rang throughout the basement to all people currently in the room, "The broadcast is about to start. Please follow protocols, comrades." Jakov stepped into the booth, and a secondary screen next to the speech showcased what was to appear behind him. As the agents loaded a video, the green screen showed a beautiful office view with the Yugoslavian flag hanging from the back corners and a window cut halfway from the flag of the Belgrade skyline. A timer appeared on the top, LED, which gave 30 seconds before the speech started. This message was going to be broadcast not just in Yugoslavia but worldwide. Jakov was nervous, but he knew he would pull through a red light flicked in the booth. They were now live, and everyone who had eyes or ears could now watch and listen to Jakov as speakers crackled throughout Yugoslavia. TVs began to open a new channel as major new agencies began to flip on the message.
Jakov stared into the camera. His blue commander uniform in its ceremonial fashion, a cloth knotted ribbon over his chest. His hair was old and silver, and his glare serious but also troubled. He then spoke as the words on the screen began to roll.
"Comrades, people, workers, Yugoslavia, and the world... 3 days ago was a day of tragedy for the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. Nikola Mihajlo, President of Yugoslavia, received a traumatic injury. Nikola is in care of our best however it has now sufficiently confirmed the President is no longer fit for the rule of Yugoslavia." Jakov deeply sighed as he bowed and looked back into the camera.
"Currently, as most know, Yugoslavia is in a state of war, and we sit on the crossroads of a precarious situation. As a person who suffered from my people during the collapse. I know how many are feeling right now, how many people think Deja Vu or once again we will fall." Jakov glanced into the camera again, more stern. "However, I also know my country and the people who reside in her. They will not let that happen again. She will not succumb the grasp of foreign interference and shell remain strong even in a crisis."
Jakov straightened his posture as he grew more confident and brave as he spoke more loudly. "I know evil seeks usage over us in our time of weakness, Some more than others, and some sadly in our borders. Yugoslavia has longed to wait for the moment to finally free her people, to achieve true freedom and socialism. Furthermore, evil men in our beautiful nation have delayed your freedom for self-benefit. Greedy men and corrupt leaders that the people trusted will pay for their crimes against the motherland."
Jakov nodded as he stood proud and patriotic and encouraged by his own words. "Yugoslavia is a country where the people should, and always have deserved choice, and freedom in your actions. However, their evil tears your families apart and silences your beliefs."
"No more, these men I warn of with dirty hands already cover and manipulate the process of the election with their greed. And I, Kazimir Jakov, Commander of the Yugoslav Ground Forces, will not let this happen. I oath and promise that it will not and never happen here in our motherland."
"I want our nation to thrive, to the workers to have true freedom, and live in self-management and determination. Socialism knows no bounds, and we have to show the world that the people of Yugoslavia are not weak, nor cowards. As Nikola said, "We are the people that know what is necessary, and we are the force that will remove the worker's chains."
"No more will Yugoslavia be dark and self-centered! She will roar and speak to the world! No more is Yugoslavia corrupted! Yugoslavia is the people's country, our country! Nobody will take that from us. I ask workers of Yugoslavia. Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Kosovo, and Vojvodina break your chains once more and stand against tyranny. I will follow and do everything in my power to help the people and only the people. If that means opening the doors to the Assembly to the country, I will. No longer hide and whisper, the boogeyman over Yugoslavia is weeping, and we will fight darkness and tyrants to achieve Nikola's vision finally. For the motherland, and the world." The broadcast then fades out with patriotic music and ends with short segments labeling future funeral services, and the anthem finishes the entire live audio.
