The fighters trailing the first aircraft would raise higher behind the cargo plane, making sure they were higher than papers coming out so it wouldn't get sucked into the engines. They'd maintain their formation around, telling the aircraft they had to leave their airspace.
The second group would follow along, still telling the aircraft they had to leave. As their course was changed, the army base would go on full alert, a SAM unit on the ground being aimed at the aircraft. The base would order them to divert course, but with the apparent desire to not listen, the order would be given to the fighters to shoot down the cargo jet as the remaining cargo was unknown. The lead fighter would yank back, leaving view of the pilots before the two fighters behind would lock on, ordering one last time that they had to divert course. The aircraft would have 5 seconds to comply otherwise they would be shot down.
The third group would receive an emergency transmission for the fighters to back off. They'd all correct away, trailing further behind the cargo jet. Without further warning, the capital's SAM defenses open-fired on the cargo jet, ten missiles heading directly for the cargo jet from across the city.
An emergency message would be broadcasted from Montenegro across TV and radio stations, declaring that the nation was under attack and all citizens should seek shelter immediately. The remainder of the air force was brought to full readiness and waiting on the runways. Soldiers were being transported across the country, en route to garrison the active border guards.

Federation forces already in the air or otherwise outside of their base on exercise or leave would either shelter with the civilians, or they would begin to hunker in place and wait for further orders from Federation European Command in Greece, having been made aware of the situation and the Federation forces in the region in the process of being brought to alert level 3. The space-based radar facility and small attached air base would be brought to heightened alert and their defenses brought online, while the wing of Federation aircraft heading for the coast of Montenegro would begin to turn and burn for Greece, or turn and begin to head for the airbase and space-radar installation.
The Federation military attache to Montenegro would have the AWACs remain to provide radar data to Montenegro's air force while, only two fighters remained as an escort, not expecting trouble but not taking the risk.

The third An-124 dived and yanked right to the coast as it got the immediate lock on signals from the SAM missiles, flares spewed from the aircraft as they darted in all directions to avoid any missiles locking. Unfortunately for C-05, one made it through and struck the fuselage tearing a hole into the left side, a fire began to blaze as a fuel line was cut and burned. The airplane fuel caused a jet fighter to bank left to avoid getting 'soaked', immediately after the An-124's large door flew open and the light flicked green, crates began to fly rapidly from the aircraft as it loss altitude caused its wings to shudder and shake violently. It immediately broke radio silence radioing to its fellow An-124's. The wind from the hole could be heard as the pilot spoke through a mask, "Pomoж! Pomoж! Pomoж!" He spoke in panic as other voices yelled calling for order, as the radio blared out warnings and coordinates people jumped from the aircraft as a body flew from the door. The Montenegrin pilots counted the parachutes as the left wing snapped the An-124 rolling left due to the loss of control.
As this went on the second An-124 dived rapidly, and banked left, then right. Its flare ports opening early in preparation as it went defensive. It remained radio silent as its light also went green and large cargo pallets and skewed papers flew from the tail. It rapidly gained speed as its wings shuddered then it pulled up and recovered flying closer, and lower to the city. It banked left attempting to flee to the border as its cargo randomly dropped into random locations.
The first as it heard radio chatter repeated a similar action to the 2nd and banked left and right and dived, including, preparing its flares. It ejected its cargo under a green light and banked left sharply to the border also.

The AWACS records the fall of the cargo aircraft and as well the SAM fire from around the Capital, the Federation Airborne Warning and Control vehicle sending the information back to European Command while the Federation army began to further inform the wider Federation military and as well the Home government about the situation in the region. The Federation military attache would send a request for information to Montenegro, while elsewhere the Federation was put onto a tight lockdown and as well any other Federation personnel were preparing to be collected or already on the way back to designated sites for either evacuation of non-critical personnel from the region to Greece.

Police and military units would be dispatched immediately as the fighters called out how many parachutes were seen floating towards the ground. One plane remained circling the area while the others trailed off back towards their main bases, heeding the call of higher alert levels caused by this. EMS would be dispatched to the site of the plane crash, followed by armed police and bomb squads in case this was an act of war. The following message would be radioed in. "Aircraft downed. Yugoslavian markings. Would not respond to turn around requests. Unknown cargo. Part seems to have contained papers. Evacuated personnel being arrested when found."
The SAMs would remain locked on the second aircraft, but wouldn't be fired as the plane would turn away from the base. The fighters would follow behind, breaking off as they got to the border. "Aircraft left airspace. Dropped pamphlets over Bijelo Polje. Directed towards, base, but redirected after SAM lock-on. Fighters returning to base."
Similarly, the plane that was over Foča would be followed back before the fighters broke off. However, as the planes diverted, they'd notice the large amounts of movement on the border. "Aircraft left airspace. Alert Level 4. Unknown movement detected along border. Be alert." The fighters would turn back to base, the entire country going to their highest alert level.

As the footage of news agencies and reporters gave their insights on the events that just unfolded and got spread throughout the world, including Yugoslavia. Of a large round nosed plane, tumbling, wings and twisted metal flying and crashing to a farm field. Its cargo slammed into the dirt and sent debris flying all around. About 6 minutes from Podgorica. 7 Parachutes were counted as they were hidden and clouded by the fumes of their burning aircraft. Their crew was considered hostile, anything could happen now, jail, interrogation even. Multiple different sources that watched the events told their views and conflicting opinions, however, only one word hung in most heads, “War.” The two other An-124s struggled, yanking their controls and diving and climbing. They were like scared birds as they finally crossed the border line, they reported their mission as a failure, one An-124 called mayday, all crew lost for now. Those words went heavy down the chain command as border troops from north of Bijelo Polje watched the bird fly lower than normal. As the call went into what just happened to the Yugoslav People's Armed Forces and almost all its high rankings of each branch convened in a large, bright room, with flags of every SR, SAP, and nation memorabilia you could ask for. With Nikola leading the helm and a vote casted all agreed to the response Montenegro gave in this crisis, all knew what was necessary.
30 minutes went by as only scattered reports filled the border. 35 minutes after the incident, the Ground Forces which were biting their nails as radios told them the events were now given the green light. Troops jumped from their bunks as vehicles roared to life. 6 Minutes later the Air Force, the branch owning those An-124 was put on stand-by then immediately given the green light, all aircraft and personnel were to be ready. Men got into their jumpsuits, threw on helmets and jet engines roared. The Navy followed shortly in 7 minutes and was put on stand-by, green light for those closest to the border on rivers or the sea. Soon every branch was shaken to life as tanks and trucks rolled from hillside bunkers or trainyards and highways were closed for make-shift airstrips.
In about an hour activity spiked all along the border. Yugoslav forces West and near Prijepolje were moving south to the border, with small separate convoys and armored companies leading the way to attack. Next troops were spotted around Jabuka, going south and west. Then from Sarajevo, east to west, going south. Finally from Split, going South-East. Slowly one-by-one radars ticked, radios and phones rang as the entire southern Balkans sprung to life in a matter of minutes. The entire border looked like an ant pile from footage given by zoomed in sat satellites and overhead planes watching. Both nations knew what was about to occur and only minutes later, in the town of Pljevlja, the sound of roaring jets could be heard from the outskirts, a few radars pinged from a town away as 5 jets sped to the border. Then the sound of an explosion from the local checkpoint as birds flew from the trees.

The first aircraft dived and pulled out, its gun blaring in a terrible roar as it launched two rockets into a border checkpoint, debris scattering and stabbing soldiers that surrounded it. Soldiers dived into the ditches and ran into the treeline as they avoided the assault the jet gave. After the attack happened, the aircraft flew up and went straight to Pljevlja, reuniting with its fellow jets. Two minutes after the attack, the people of Pljevlja dived under tables or hid in basements. They all knew what was happening from the distant boom and gunfire. 4 of the jets were MiG-29's with one being new and never seen before. The new plane was sleek and fast, struggling to keep itself with the MiGs. From West of Pljevlja, where a garrison base was at, was now being dived and attacked. Three of the MiG's dropping assisted bombs that fell and exploded against the barracks. They pulled off as the attack was successful and went south and more inland.
These actions repeated through multiple border cities or any town that could get targeted without much interference. The cases included towns 0-20 minutes from the border with an established military presence, including border checkpoints and moving military targets.
The first military-scale attack happened besides small-scale skirmishes from border infantry that immediately turned on each other when given the order. The crackle of the majority Zastava M21 AK fire rang and was approaching Bijelo Polje. Overhead scouting parties of Montenegro confirmed it was at least five companies. Montenegrin companies now had to dig in. Soon they had intel on what they were up against as retreating border security came in and filled them in. two infantry companies, one heavy infantry company, and about 2 two IFV's attached to a motorized company.
About more than a hour later, Yugoslav forces finally engaged Montenegrin soldiers, but they are forced into limited troops. An IFV farther north had its track torn off by an RPG, while motorized (and second IFV) had remained behind to await reinforcements and logistic support. The two lead infantry companies came under fire by Montenegrin forces in an ambush. The attack was limited in firepower, and took only a few Yugoslav soldiers with it. Following heavy infantry attempted to assist the two companies that now attacked, but as the officer of the forces eventually evaluating the situation decided to pull back and entrench his companies. Montenegrin forces had won, for now, as their forces were entrenched deep in the woods and city outskirts causing Yugoslavs to hold back and await reinforcements.

-- Update --
As the following days in the war progressed the constant bombardment of military outposts grew frequent and daily by the Yugoslav Air Force. Due to the establishment of new Montenegrin air-defenses and lack of available intel, a decent amount of helicopter downs are racked up with others recovering in-flight but in intensive repair. Around 10 Attack Helicopters are downed, with 4 being in intensive repairs only in a few days. However, as areas were mapped and intel began to arrive to military command success is proven with jet craft as boom and zoom runs are utilized with Montenegrin current ground forces unable to compete with retrofitted modern jet countermeasures in the regions attacked. Furthermore, Yugoslav jets would quickly attempt to leave the air space after attacking to avoid conflict with interceptors. If engaged they would follow basic dogfight protocols, where the squadron of at least 5 work together against the enemy. However due to other reports it could change in a matter of weeks and the current tactics become invalid.. However, from current actions the bombardment continues and has been given full operation status under the codename “Pokolj.”

One day later after Operation Pokolj was established the north being more prepared for a current invasion immediately pushes into the north of Montenegro as the invasion force is dubbed “Group A.” The Group pushes in through low lands and attempts to utilize and combined arms doctrine. The first opening days of the push goes well as Montenegrin troops are pushed North of Konjic, and nearby depending on the angle of attack. However, as Yugoslav troops move inland and due to ethnic tensions in the region the invasion begins to slow and troops get bogged down in limited-guerrilla warfare. As an occupational force moves in from reserve troops or transfers from the Adria border to occupy the land, the question of continuing the attack or to reinforce the divisions is given. However, due to a crisis in the chain of command from the President having a Intracerebral hemorrhage stroke most arguments are shot down.
The invasion goes ahead due to lack of objection and it starts immediately to go sour. Montenegrin forces establish stiff resistance through ambush and attrition tactics as the invasion takes numerous casualties due to ambush points or mines/traps. The invasion halts south of Konjic when the order of invasion is halted and the companies to be reinforced with conscripts or transfers. In later reports it was given an average 5 Infantry Companies, 2 Heavy Infantry Companies, 1 Motorized Company, and 9 MBT tanks were lost.

West Front Opens and Goes Decently.
Yugoslavia was now encompassed by the embers of war, momentarily leaderless, and currently, politics became bloated as the capacity of the nation ground to a standstill. The conflict had to be won, every soldier having a Yugoslav flag on his shoulder, who oathed to the red star knew such. So they kept fighting, they wanted those promises long given to them, and by all means, the war wasn't too serious yet. Finally, the order of Attack Group C was greenlighted. 17 Companies were a part of the invasion. 6 infantry companies, 4 heavy infantry companies, 2 motorized infantry companies, 1 armored platoon, 2 artillery platoons attached to the motorized companies, and a medic and logistic division. All were divided evenly and give the order to encircle Montenegrin troops in the North.
Yugoslav troops a day later reached a few miles West of Mostar, while Eastern approaching Yugoslav forces quickly broke through their valley side being more lowland and repeatedly bombed by fighters and ground support. The west had success at first on the border. Yugoslav forces met with Montenegrin troops advancing only for those forces to be pushed back in an absolute victory. However, as Yugoslav troops began to trudge through the terrain and valley, it was discovered to be heavily booby-trapped and that Montenegrin had established ambush points. One-by-one Yugoslav troops had to clear villages and monitor minefields. Attack Helicopters purposely bombed random tree lines to set off mines or give a rough idea of where they were. Napalm was also provided clearance temporarily by the air force as napalm was used against hiding enemy positions. Eventually, Yugoslav troops gained a foothold and were able to secure the majority of the valley. Only two main roads remained a lifeline to the North as Yugoslav bombers attempted to destroy the road. Yugoslavian forces eventually had gained their first major blow to the Montenegrin war effort. However, many Yugoslavian lives were lost, and companies were damaged or destroyed to secure the valley.

Federation European Command Greece - Peloponnese Peninsula Tripoli
"Listen General, that facility has advanced technology that most civilian firms don't even know exists yet in it, and as a strategic site that radar installation is the only one of its kind in Eastern Europe. I want it secured or destroyed, preferably after you've airlifted anything valuable that can be moved quickly out of the damn place. You have enough transports to do it, and if you need to, take the most precious shit and bomb the place until its dust but that facility either remains firmly in federation hands or it and everything inside of it go up in fucking flames if we can't get the valuables out first."
General Magnus would nod his head again as he looked at the screen, the Federation Pendleton Jockey continuing to talk for a solid minute more before he would be given a break from the sound of their voice. The Festria man would nod his head and say, "I'll consider my options and notify you when I have an action plan, or after I put it into effect depending on the situation."
He'd close the link after a parting statement and sigh, leaning back in his seat as he rubbed his head, sweating through the pours in his forehead as he leaned back. Greece was fucking hell. He hated this damn island and he hated Europe. It was too blazing hot on this rock.
He'd turn to look at the other terminal and begin to read out a recent status report, the most recent as the next wasn't due for an hour. He'd adjust his uniform a bit and pull on the collar, before he would turn and resume reading, going down the list of areas that the Yugoslavians had attacked by this point and as well trying to come up with a plan of action with his limited resources, or at the least forming the very basis of one off of it. He had sort of been contemplating it already, and he had been ordering and directing the evacuation of federation non-essential staff and as well, Federation citizens from Montenegro, but he hadn't been much for the idea of directly attacking Yugoslavian forces on the ground. He hadn't as well been directly engaged.
Yet. He was the highest ranking officer in theatre, and the one in charge of European command overall. He was not well supplied specifically because he was basically a training command and other he was only supposed to be maintaining the space-radar station and as well the exercise fields and a few Federation logistics bases across East Europe and in the Netherlands. He had fighting power, sure, but he wasn't sure it was quite enough. The Navy was at least on the way to assist with evacuating personnel, and if he did have to get involved with deadly consequences then he might be able to get them to directly aid him and Montenegro.
He leaned back a bit and began to read the most recent space-watch report about movements in Montenegro and Yugoslavia, what they could see anyway. They had figured Yugoslavia was rather heavily armed compared to their neighbors, but the scale was a bit of a surprise. Still the scale of the conflict was at least smaller than the old as shit predictive plan had said it would be, as it had not yet grown to encompass Macedonia or Adria.
He leaned back and began to run his mind through the paces again, wondering what he had at his disposal again that was immediately available or that he could pull out of the ready-reserve station in northern Greece and from here, and have deployed. He had a lot of trainees, and some veteran soldiers, but not enough to take on the entire Yugoslav military, at least alone. He had advanced aircraft and as well, he did have missiles and some bombers, and as well he had gotten a small regiment of Cerberus Rocket Batteries. There was as well some older tanks on hand but he figured the older tanks would still be more than a match for Yugoslavian emplacements and infantry, it was airpower that would be the deciding factor if he had to be worried about anything in particular..
He leaned forwards again and began to put in a code to bring up SATCOM, the Federation's Satellite Command and a branch of the federation aerospace command. He'd get someone on the line, and then request General Labatt. A bit later, a Human women sits down at the screen, and cups her hands together. "It's nice to see you again, even if by screen, Magnus." She'd say, sounding tired. It was nighttime in North America by now, though early morning really.
"Likewise. Sorry to wake you." He'd say. "But you know of the yugoslavian situation."
"Yes, and there's been quite a few developments. You know that Nikola is dead?"
"I heard, but I just took it at face value, since nothing seems to have changed I am otherwise unconcerned. I do know his successor made a speech a few hours ago. Typical Socialist bullshit."
"Yes." She'd say. "What is it you need exactly, in regards to Yugoslavia?"
"I want to have one of the Rods From God satellites ready to go when I need it, several if possible, but one would be enough if I were to use it at the right time." He would say. "I need to be able to use a few for a directed attack against Yugoslav positions if we have to get directly involved."
She looks at him and after a moment, she turns away, contemplating the decision before she would grab a tablet and start to search through its contents. "That is a tall order, especially since we haven't gotten replacement rods for most of them yet. I may be able to spar one of the lightly armed ones that's being kept in stand-by." She'd say.
"One is enough." He'd say.
She'd nod. "One will be slated for you, I'll inform you when we have it online." She'd tell him. "Then codes and so on will be transmitted securely and given to you by text message."
He nods in response. "Understood. I'm gonna head off, goodnight." He'd say, before he ended the call. Then he stood up and began to type in a code to access recon satellite data for any updated images and feeds on the current events unfolding to his north.

Jakov, the new president implementing an act of "Joint warfare." with the new assumption of a military-smart President, the armed forces had rapid growth and change in tactics. However, due to the ongoing war, further training was impossible for active troops. However, the main goal was planning and organization and fully implementing combined arms with independence and decentralization in the chain of command. This should, by theory, make small-time or decisions of corporals, sergeants, etc., more valid and improve squad and company functionality. The Ground Forces Armor Core will be combined in the main Ground Forces branch. New troops and reinforced companies will also be fitted with more communication and assistance opportunities from the airforce. The first implementation and usage of these tactics occurred in the stalled North of Montenegro. Immediately success was proven as an infantry company bogged down in a lowland was forced to entrench; but, due to new air force communication, an attack helicopter could be dispatched and assisted ground troops in the opening hours of the continued invasion.
5 days later, Mostar was reached and along the city's parallel to the East. However, troops were forced to stop as the picked-up speed strained logistics, causing a temporary halt in the attack. However, the Yugoslav air force continued attacks when defending infantry required it. New orders attempted to keep jets and helicopters away from major cities due to established SAM sites. Furthermore, combining the armored core proved successful as armored vehicles worked more closely with infantry instead being segregated to motorized and mechanized companies.
PLAN RAZDOR has its first squadron of new GEN 6 J-41 Preciznost Multirole Jet Aircraft. The Jets are kept to limited combat runs and tests to see their usefulness. The new J-41's meets all expected standards, accomplishing every essential task the squadron was given. No reported instruments or equipment failures and better functionality were achieved over most current jet aircraft in the air force.

With the threat of its neighbor getting too complacent in its belief it can push around its neighbors, the council of five would meet in their chambers and finally come to a decision.
With the threat of Yugoslavia controlling an independent nation and becoming more of a threat to their own survival, the Republic of North Macedonia would raise its War Readiness to War. Troops would be gathered as quickly as they could at their bases, the borders being strengthened from the usual few hundred troops.
In an official declaration The Republic of North Macedonia is joining the War to defend its neighbor of the Republic of Montenegro.
At the same time of the declaration, Macedonian fighters would strafe the border checkpoints, firing at anything remotely military looking to let them know they were joining in full force.

Immediately the Yugoslav government initiates Operation Strela which concludes a first-defensive engagement against Macedonia followed by a prepared bombardment and invasion of their borders. The Territorial Defense Initiative was initiated by the Assembly, mandating ages from 17-50 of non-disabled Citizens to fight. All people 100 miles from the Macedonian border must follow and abide by the Territorial Defense Initiative. Immediately reserves are pulled from garrisons and bases from the cities away from the current bombardments and moved or put into service by new Reserve Companies. Established SAM and AA defenses immediately turned and attacked Macedonian aircraft. Furthermore, a section of attack group B in the invasion of Montenegro transferred under the title Defense Group B2 to the border of Macedonia. With a followed temporary 40 miles withdraw from the South-East lower Montenegrin edge to not strain logistics.
Southern Airbases are to move readiness to active-total as reserve planes are to be used. The following events unfold where Yugoslav interceptors were dispatched from Pristina to engage Macedonian fighters. While at least followed by the movement of Yugoslav troops from the interior and garrisons in cities. Yugoslavia then transferred 10 Companies from the Romani border to Macedonia with a reserve force of 5 companies taking their place. The transfer became supported by 50 mixed companies of Infantry and Heavy Infantry companies from city garrisons. With 10 Companies of motorized and armor being withdrawn from Attack Group B with a followed 5 Infantry Companies. At least 30 Artillery pieces were now selected across the warzone of Montenegro to be transferred to Macedonia. Finally, current action calls for an extra logistical unit assigned and transferred to Macedonia due to the increase and more undersized frontline in Montenegro's north.
