(Fade Out) | DEFCON: 4 | DEFCON 4 Indicates a increased level of readiness for conflict in the Federation armed forces, with the Air Force and Navy being put to 'Immediate Action Readiness' (Ready to launch in 10 minutes) usually following this. (Double Take) | DEFCON: 3 | DEFCON 3 indicates that a conflict is fast approaching and likely, and that Federation Forces must be put onto a full war footing. Air Force and Navy airborne assets are ready for immediate launch and to leave docks to avoid being victims of a first-strike action and to be prepared for action. Authorizes lethal actions and engaging in hostilities. (Round-House) | DEFCON: 2 | DEFCON 2 indicates that a conflict has begun and is likely to, or is still, escalating. It is a position of maximum readiness for combat. (Fast Pace) | DEFCON: 1 | DEFCON 1 indicates that the conflict is escalating rapidly and may be on the verge of going Nuclear. Air Force reserve bombers are loaded with nuclear ordinance and missile silos come online for a possible weapons launch event. (Cocked Pistol) |
